Last night I went on date numero tres with a boy from Jdate. Let's just call him....DH (that's for you, Soph). He came by the apartment and we spent a few hours chatting, laughing and eating popsicles. Of course, the topic of work came up, so I told him that I spend a lot of my time emailing mom bloggers. And that's when he asked:
DH: So...do you have a blog?
I knew I'd have to tell him about G3B at some point, but it's not exactly something you can bring up on a first date. I was actually kind of relieved when he asked, because now I don't have to keep it from him.
When he asked me what I write about, I replied that I write about my life: college, friends, the funny stuff that happens to me...and my love life. So now he knows about this blog, but has made it clear that he has no intent to read it. Even still, you can't be too sure.
I really love writing this blog- people often ask me how I can just write about my life and put it out there for everyone to read. My answer to them: I'm such an open person, so keeping a blog is no big deal at all. Of course, I can't write about everything that goes on in my life, I do have to keep some things private.
My motto: if I'm not ok with my mom reading it, I shouldn't put it on my blog.
How do you decide what's too personal to post on your blog? Have you ever said too much?
