DIY Flower headband
Nov 10, 2009
First of all, I'm so sorry for the poor picture quality, my photographers roommates are all otherwise engaged, and I just really wanted to show you guys what I made yesterday.
Basically, I have a bunch of free time on my hands now, so I've decided to embrace my artsy side and start playing around with a few projects. I'm currently digging all kinds of flower accents, so I decided to incorporate that into my first project. The above headband, which I actually thought was going to be a necklace, took about two hours to make and was super inexpensive.
Here's what I used:
- A black ribbon from my belt/ribbon storage box
- Pieces of a scarf I just purchased at Goodwill for about $2. (I still have about 3/4 of the scarf left for other projects!)
- Needle and thread from my sewing kit
- Some random extra buttons I've accumulated
- inspiration from this yo-yo necklace
Hope you like! It was a great first attempt for me. Hopefully my next project will be even more fabulous!

adorable!
Nice job!
I absolutely LOVE your new title header thing! It's so fabulous, and it makes your blog seem even more official. Nice work. And cute headband of course. Recently I've been having my friend Becky make a thin, braid hippie headband that just twists over my forehead (as in, the hair is still attached to my head) and I think it works for me. You should try it too!
Totally pretty- I love this, and your new header is SO cute! <3
